Barbara’s mood boosting home

Barbara and Adrian have transformed a 1940’s house which lacked architectural features into a wonderland of colour. It was such fun to visit, thanks for having us Barbara.

Each room takes you by surprise, sparking joy at every turn. Her sons bedroom showcases her skills as a mural designer. Inspired by the rainbow she used vibrant colours and fun shapes to create a fun imaginative space which she finds fuels her sons creativity.

The aubergine coloured lounge is inspired, its south facing so gets lots of natural light, which helps the purple tone glow a radiant hue. I love how each item on her shelves works with the colour palette for a really ‘designed’ look.

If you want more info on Barbara’s home, take a look at the grid.

Thanks so much for having us Barbara, and Neil for the pics @npphotographer
